"Paris 1903, C Claudel-R M Rilke", The Meeting Heraklion Cultural Center

Musical-Theatrical lectern at the Cultural Center of Heraklion

It was in 1903 that his publisher, R M. Rilke, asked him to visit the great sculptor A Rodin in Paris and compile his monograph.

What if Rilke, knocking on the door of Rodin's studio, did not meet him?

If the door was opened by his muse, the great (and according to others greater) Camille Claudel, then, what would these two talk about Art, Love, the nature of Woman?

A personal selection of French songs of the previous century contained in my album "Nuits Embaumées" and published by the reputable record company Subways Music, accompanied on the piano by the excellent Dimitris Vezyroglou, formed the backbone of the musical-theatrical analogy presented at the Music Library of the Athens Megaron on October 9 and at the Heraklion Cultural Library on October 16, 2024.
